Gunman Airsoft and FilmSim Events proudly presents...

‘Operation Diamond Head’

NAM FilmSim

Gunman Eversley ‘The Fire Base’

10-11 September 16

£55 for the weekend with a £25 deposit to be paid via PayPal sales@filmsim.co.uk

£65 on the gate with no deposit.

1967 (Fictional)

Location: Binh Durong Province.  A French plantation once owned by Michelin Rubber Company but now privately owned, deep in country on a boundary of the Dau Tieng District.

Operation: Elements of the 25th Division have been given the task of search and destroy operations over the next two weeks.  Based from a temporary FOB, they must eliminate a number of high-ranking VC commanders and dislodge the VC’s presence in the district.

VC 272nd regiment, famed for its total destruction in 1965 of the ARVN 5th Division, has return to the plantations with a number of its veterans and set up a number of new tunnel systems and supply depots for its continued and permanent presence in the district.

Plantation – Owned by Terres Rouges Rubber Company.

The plantations are in desperate decline and after Michelin pulled out of Vietnam in 1966, the few privately owned ones left have resorted to employing mercenaries from the Foreign Legion.  Optimistic that the US with burn out and the old arrangements with a new Vietnamese government are worth the risk, they continue to produce product.

However, after a number of workers turned out to be VC and sabotaged a plant machine the mercs have stepped up their security to shoot to kill anyone that they find in the plantation boundary.

SIDES.

For this one, we will op[en bookings with three sides.  US 25th, VC 272nd and the French TR Mercs.

All three with have an HQ and a list of objectives to complete throughout the weekend.  The Mercs will have a security role-play element whilst both the US and VC will be at each others necks trying to kill each other and take control of the area. There will be no parley or alliances made between the groups, but the French element will add another dimension.

There are six crew places to join the events team and take on the role of workers and other civilians in the field.  NO SHOOTING THOUGH!!

Welcome to the War guys

Hi all and welcome to the next installment of our epic Vietnam story.  This is a full on FilmSim experience and everyone will be expected to play his or her part.  Like Milsim, you may not be pulling your trigger all of the time, however when the shit hits the fan, it will really mean something.  We hope everyone can get fully immersed, live, eat and breathe the 1960s conflict.

We can offer full rental kit for anyone that needs if for free and period rifles are only £20 for the weekend.  This will include 3 x 30rnd mags to get you going.

For this game you will need:

Full camping equipment

Water - drinking

Airsoft Kit (if you have it)

Food and booze for the socials.

Please try to bring and use period (ish) kit only if you can, NOTHING modern looking can be taken into the field or it MUST be disguised to not break the immersion of the camp.

A rock band in the middle of the jungle.... just like apocalypse now.... "are they expecting us this time?!".....

Well I am seriously considering attending this one, (despite Flying lead being the week before?) if only to get the lizards out again....

Thanks Josh, and crew, for another great weekend.

Think the new rules worked out quite well.

Good to run with Adam and Phil, Tom and Neil, on the Sunday,

The Guys and Gals of the legion on Saturday,

And the chap who's name I didn't get, on the French team. Nice to meet you Mon amie!

Big thanks to everyone involved. Epic weekend again!
