Please note updated terms and conditions.  Under 18s are now required to wear full face protection to comply with our insurance terms.


  1. Eye protection must be worn at all times by participants, marshals and observers during a skirmish and until all persons have left the skirmish environment.
  2. Only eye goggles and face masks that are able to withstand close range impact from a 6 or 8mm airsoft ball fired at the maximum site limit are to be used.
  3. If a participant brings their own goggles and/or face mask, it must be confirmed by Gunman Airsoft to meet the above standard prior to being used on site.  This may require firing a BB at point-blank range at the site limit to test suitability.  If the equipment does not meet the required standard the player must use equipment provided by Gunman Airsoft or the participant will not be allowed to play.
  4. Participants aged 17 years and under MUST wear suitable full face protection.
  5. Participants aged 18 and over are strongly advised to wear full face protection – anyone choosing not to does so at their own risk.
  6. All participants are advised to wear long sleeves and trousers – anyone choosing not to does so at their own risk.
  7. Muzzle energy limits must be adhered to at all times* – participants’ own guns MUST BE chronographed prior to being used on site.  Any guns which are over the site limits CANNOT be used.
  8. Only standard 6 or 8mm plastic airsoft BBs are to be used.
  9. All gas canisters must be safely locked away after use.
  10. Disclaimer notices are to be signed by all participants.  If the participant is aged 17 years or under, the disclaimer must be signed by a parent, guardian or nominated adult (18 or over).
  11. The minimum age for any participant is 12 years.
  12. 12-17 year olds are allowed to participate with a consent form signed by a parrent/guardian.  If the participant is under 14 they must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.
  13. Any pyrotechnic devices not purchased from Gunman Airsoft MUST be approved prior to use.
  14. Anyone using pyrotechnic devices MUST be aged 18 years or above and be fully conversant with the safe use of the device.
  15. Participants MUST NOT touch any pyrotechnic device not belonging to them.
  16. No hot burning pyrotechnics shall be used where there is a risk of igniting a fire.
  17. Any participant who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to play.
  18. No participant is allowed to shoot or be shot at while ascending or descending towers.
  19. The pre-game safety briefing MUST be attended by all participants.  Anyone turning up after it has been given will have to wait until a marshal can go through it with them or will not be allowed to play.
  20. The items in the safety briefing MUST be adhered to at all times while on site.
  21. When vehicles are used in game, participants must be aware of their movements and keep a suitable safe distance from them.
  22. Participants are not to mount or dismount moving vehicles.

*Site energy limits are:

  • 2.31J for bolt action or electric (with delay fitted) sniper rifles with a minimum engagement distance of 30m.
  • 1.48J for DMR class rifles locked to semi-auto with a minimum engagement distance of 20m.
  • 1.13J for anything else.
